A local resident brought us this picture today of a vehicle that is occasionally left parked, in this position, at the bus stop in Troutbeck Road, close to the junction with Windermere Avenue, Redcar.
Nevertheless, wherever it is, I find car users frequently ignorant and arrogant about where they plonk their beloved lumps of metal and rubber. But it so often seems there's very little one can do - if your parking is decriminalised and privately enforced as ours is the police have no recourse unless there is a demonstrable obstruction or they catch them committing a moving trafic violation.
My local Co-op is a lifeline for people, especially elderly people who don't want to or can't get very far, and the number of times I've seen them have to struggle out onto the road because some ignorant b*****d has blocked the whole pavement in order to save themselves a twenty meter walk from the nearest space is numerous.
