The 2008 Corporate assessement clearly reduced Redcar to a score of 2, in effect a poor council. However, due to protected status of their previous score they reatain it. This is a sham. Redcar have been found to be wanting in a number of areas which need to be rectified. The visage of a false protected score make a mockery of any inspection regime.
